The Big Bang Theory star suddenly died today

Bob Newhart, an actor and comedian who was probably best known for his parts in Elf and Legally Blonde, has died at the age of 94. Bob Newhart started out as a comedian who regularly appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show.

 

Shortly after that, he started acting in movies like Catch-22 and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. His previous roles include Leonard the Polar Bear in the classic holiday animated movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the lead in Legally Blonde 2.

This morning, Bob died, according to the Hollywood Reporter. No information has been given about what killed him. The US Army wanted to recruit Newhart. His education was at Roman Catholic schools in and around Chicago, such as St. Catherine of Siena Grammar School in Oak Park and St. Ignatius College Prep, where he graduated in 1947. Later, he went to Loyola University Chicago and got a bachelor’s degree in business management in 1952. Following his graduation, Newhart was immediately drafted into the US Army. He worked as a personnel manager during the Korean War and was released in 1954.

In part because of a request for unethical behavior during an internship, he left Loyola University Chicago School of Law before finishing his degree.
