Tim Conway Elephant Story – Funniest TV Sketch Ever?

I can still remember the time when TV used to actually be good. Luckily, we can still revisit some of our favorite moments, thanks to the internet. And here’s a clip that’s been called by some as the funniest TV moments of all time.

The following video features one of the best shows of all time, The Carol Burnett Show. This hilarious reel was shot during a “Mama’s Family” sketch on the show. They act was performed on the show but had to be cut at the end because of Vicki Lawrence’s comment. Luckily they kept the entire roll for blooper viewing.

It was not unusual for the actors to improvise on this show, which sometimes resulted in such chaos that the others couldn’t even continue. Even though they are professionals, it is tough to keep from laughing when a castmate does something like this! This comical monologue by Tim is no doubt one of the funniest moments in the history of television!

You’ll want to make sure to watch both parts of the sketch–they actually halted it and restarted. Many observers think this combined sequence is the funniest TV ever recorded, even with Vicki Lawrence’s comments bleeped.
