A bride stunned her wedding guests when she read texts about her fiancé’s
affair instead of her vows during the ceremony. Your wedding day is supposed to be the best day ever.
But that only works if you’re completely sure you’re marrying the right person.
So when one bride found out that her soon-to-be husband wasn’t who she thought,
she decided to get back at him – at the most awkward time possible. She stood
up during the vows and instead of a sweet message of love, she shared text messages revealing her fiancé’s cheating…
A bride named Casey (not her real name) tells this shocking story in an essay for Body+Soul.
In it, she explains how Alex (also a fake name), her fiancé, was cheating on her in
the weeks before their wedding. Even more surprising, Casey didn’t learn about his
affair from him; it was actually the other woman who contacted her with steamy screenshots of their chats.

“This weekend. You and I. It is on hot stuff! Bring your A game,” one spicy message says.
“Your body is f***ing amazing and do you know how to use it? I wish my GF had half
your skills,” another reads. A third one states: “I miss you so much! I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you.”
Along with these heartbreaking messages, the mistress sent a strong note: “I wouldn’t
marry him! Will you?” Casey felt shocked and humiliated by what she saw. She recalls:
“My friends were threatening all kinds of violence against him! They insisted I call
him right away and cancel everything.” But despite everything, Casey loved Alex
and wanted to marry him that very day; she was too hurt to feel angry.
Then came up with a plan for revenge: “When morning finally came I woke my friends
up and told them my choice – I would go through with the wedding as planned but expose
him in front of everyone,” she shares. So on their big day, Casey stood up and revealed
Alex’s secret to everyone present: “It seems Alex isn’t who I thought he was,” she announced to those gathered around them.
“I love all of you! As terrible as this is I’m glad you’re here today.” She added
that there wouldn’t be a reception but rather a celebration of truthfulness and following your heart even when it’s painful.
Man texting.
She then read out loud all those messages while Alex ran away from there along with
his best man! In conclusion Casey said: ”It wasn’t at all like my dream
wedding but honestly it turned into an unforgettable party.”
