I lived with my roommate for two years before she suddenly disappeared.
She was always cheerful and happy, but one day, she was gone without a trace.

Five years later, while cleaning her room to sell the house, I moved a dresser
and discovereda hidden hole in the wall. Inside, I found a stack of notes that
read, “If I ever disappear,you need to urgently look for me at Jake’s cabin in
the mountains.”Jake was her boyfriend. He had a bad temper, but she stayed with
him because she loved him.I remembered her talking about how “controlling and
unpredictable” he was, but at the time, I didn’t think much of it.After finding
the notes, I immediately contacted the police.Unfortunately, it was too late.
Jake had disappeared as well, and the last anyone knew, he had moved to Europe.
