With unforgettable classics such as “An evening in June”, ” Teddybjörnen Fredriksson” and of course “Stockholm i mitt hjärta” he has written himself into music history forever.
The immensely popular and beloved artist also has an obvious place in the story of television’s entertainment offerings, of course. At the beginning of the 2000s, Berghagen turned SVT’s classic “Allsång på Skansen” into a huge hit with millions of viewers in front of the TV sets. Allsången went from being a program that perhaps mostly appealed to the slightly more mature age group, to under Lasse’s wings – and blue jacket! – turns into a sing-along for the entire Swedish people.
Old and young – everyone watched the Allsången when Berghagen took the tone to his own signature tune “Stockholm i mitt hjärta” on the Solliden stage during those magical Tuesday evenings.
In total, it was ten years as a choir leader between 1994 and 2003, and at the end of Berghagen’s era, an audience record was also set at Skansen when 36,800 people had found the Sollidenscenen to sing with the popular singer.
