A bus plunged into a 160-foot gorge in Tangua, Colombia, on January 3,
killing 13 and injuring 28. The bus, traveling to Santuario de las Lajas,
crashed on a curvy road. Authorities suspect mechanical failure and speeding,
with some pointing to the driver’s use of an alternative route to avoid tolls.
