On Tuesday afternoon, five people died when a small plane crashed during
an aborted takeoff at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Arizona. The Honda HA-420
jet struck a perimeter fence and a car, then crashed through concrete walls before bursting into,
flames. The crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. Eyewitness Joshua Golabi described the plane’s
fiery crash, noting it was a jarring reminder for pilots to prioritize safety.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and it’s unclear if anyone
in the car was injured. The airport remains closed after the incident.Note: We are
