Political analyst Lou Dobbs has passed away at 78. Known for his work at
CNN and Fox News, Dobbs was a controversial figure, especially for his
comments on Barack Obama and immigration. Former President Donald Trump
praised him as “an incredible talent” and a “true friend.”
Dobbs began his career in radio before joining CNN in 1980, where he hosted Moneyline.
He left CNN in 2009 due to immigration coverage controversies and later hosted Lou Dobbs
Tonight on Fox Business until 2021. Fox News called him “an amazing businessman
with a gift for broadcasting.”He is survived by his wife, Debi, and six children.
