Political analyst Lou Dobbs has passed away at 78. Known for his work at CNN and Fox News,
Dobbs was a polarizing figure, especially for his comments on Barack Obama.
Former President Donald Trump praised Dobbs on Truth Social as “an incredible talent,
friend, and amazing journalist.” Fox News Media also honored his contributions to cable news.
Dobbs started in radio at KBLU in Arizona before transitioning to television in the 1970s.
He was a founding CNN reporter, hosting *Moneyline* in 1980. Controversy over his
immigration coverage led to his CNN departure in 2009. Dobbs later hosted
*Lou Dobbs Tonight* on Fox Business from 2010 to 2021. He is survived by his wife, Debi, and six children
