White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Friday that deportation
flights have started under President Trump, releasing photos of individuals boarding
military aircraft. One photo, taken at Biggs Army Airfield in El Paso, Texas, shows
a plane departing for Guatemala. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, praised Trump’s swift
action, claiming it surpasses Biden’s border efforts over four years. ICE reported
over 530 arrests Thursday, including child sex offenders, gang members, and other
criminals. Newark, N.J., saw a raid at a fish market, where Mayor Ras Baraka condemned
ICE for alleged Fourth Amendment violations, including detaining a U.S. veteran.
Troops have also reinforced border security near the Ysleta Port of Entry in El Paso.
Critics and local officials remain divided over the administration’s actions
