At the funeral of former US president Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama and
Donald Trump were spotted chatting, despite their longstanding political differences.
A licensed lip-reader, Jeremy Freeman, analyzed the conversation and suggested
it centered around international agreements. Freeman speculated that Trump
mentioned pulling out of a certain agreement due to its conditions,
possibly referring to the Iran nuclear deal or the Paris Climate Agreement.
The two appeared to plan a private discussion later in the day, away from cameras.
Trump reportedly said they needed a “quiet place” to talk, and Obama responded humorously,
calling it “a chore,” though the full context remains unclear. Their interaction
surprised observers, given their history of rivalry and public disagreements.
