Hollywood legend Barbara Eden, best known for I Dream of Jeannie,
turned 92 on August 23. Despite her success, she faced deep heartbreak with the loss of her son,
Matthew Ansara, to a heroin overdose, in 2001. Born during the Great Depression, Eden built
an iconic career but struggled as Matthew battled addiction for years. Though he seemed
to be recovering, he tragically passed at 35. Now retired from her Jeannie role,
Eden remains active and an inspiration, proving resilience through life’s challenges
