refocus the FBI on law enforcement and end political bias. In his confirmation hearing,
Patel vowed to reduce major crime categories significantly. However, Democrats opposed
his nomination, accusing him of lying during his testimony. Patel, a former public
defender and prosecutor, was also involved in exposing the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
