Teenage footballer Luca Manolache, 19, tragically passed away from an unexplained illness after
struggling with severe health issues. A former player for Romanian team Metaloglobus București,
he retired in August 2024 due to symptoms including dizziness, fatigue, and bloody stools.
On February 28, Luca fell ill while out with a relative. As his condition worsened, he called his mother,
saying, “Mum, Mum, I can’t do it anymore,” before asking, “Do you think I’m dying?” An autopsy revealed
he drowned in his own stomach acid after vomiting blood. Metaloglobus București mourned his loss,
remembering his love for football and offering condolences to his family
