My Sassy MIL Took over Our…

Every time my mother-in-law, Monica, visited, she took over our master bedroom, pushing aside my things and lighting her signature candles.

After years of swallowing my frustration, I decided it was time for a change. When Monica and her husband, Frank, arrived early for a visit,

I had already planned a little surprise for her. Despite my requests for her to stay in the guest room, Monica always claimed the master bedroom.

This time, I was determined to make sure she got the message. When she arrived and tried to take over our room again, I pretended to agree, with a sweet smile.

Later, as she settled in, I had prepared a few things in the bedroom that would make her think twice. I secretly placed items like adult toys, massage oils,

and suggestive lingerie throughout the room. I even filled our TV queue with provocative titles. The next morning, Monica came into the kitchen,

looking mortified. She quickly asked for the guest room instead, and I happily agreed, pretending nothing was unusual. She and Frank moved their

things into the guest room, visibly shaken by what they’d seen. Later, Jake, my husband, discovered what I’d done and was both horrified and impressed.

The rest of their visit went smoothly, and by the time they left, Monica was clearly uncomfortable, but she kept her distance from our bedroom.

She even texted the next day, saying they’d booked a hotel for Christmas. It was petty revenge, but I called it a necessary lesson in boundaries
