I Found My Daughter’s Wedding Dress Cut to Pieces with My Stepdaughter Standing over It

Instead of planning their weddings together joyfully, my daughters were constantly clashing. My biological daughter, Hannah (22), and my stepdaughter,

Christine (23), grew up together after my husband passed away, and though I tried to keep our blended family close, Christine often competed with Hannah

— for attention, achievements, everything. Hannah, more reserved, never fought back, which only added tension. Christine had been engaged for eight months

without securing a venue, while Hannah, after just two months engaged, landed a cancellation at the Winter Garden for a late January wedding and even

bought a $1,500 dress. Christine was clearly upset and started distancing herself. A few days before the wedding, she came to dinner acting strangely.

Later, I noticed she hadn’t actually left as she claimed, and following my instincts, I rushed to Hannah’s room — and found her wedding dress slashed to

pieces, with Christine standing over it, crying. She insisted she didn’t do it — and I believed her. Through tears, she revealed that she’d caught Hannah’s

fiancé, John, texting his ex and expressing doubts. She gave him time to confess, but he never did. That night, she saw him sneaking out of Hannah’s room,

and when she checked, the dress was ruined. We confronted him together, and he confessed — not only to destroying the dress to delay the wedding but also

to cheating. Hannah was heartbroken, but something beautiful came out of it. Christine helped her remake the dress into a cocktail dress, and instead

of canceling everything, we held a small family gathering. It brought the girls closer than ever. Christine asked us to walk her

down the aisle when her day comes, and for the first time in a long time, our family truly felt like one
