I Spent $6,500 on a Bull That Ignored My Cows — Until One Peppermint Changed Everything

I spent $6,500 on a registered Black Angus bull, confident he’d improve my herd. He looked perfect—healthy and strong—but once

introduced to the cows, he showed zero interest. Days turned into weeks, and he just grazed, ignoring the herd completely.

Frustrated, I called the vet. After a check-up, the bull was deemed healthy but inexperienced. The vet handed me a bottle

of daily supplements and told me to give it time. Skeptical but desperate, I followed his advice.

Within two days, the change was dramatic. The bull suddenly got to work—breeding all my cows, then breaking through the fence

to get to the neighbor’s. The energy and drive were unstoppable. My neighbors weren’t thrilled, but I couldn’t help being impressed.

Out of curiosity, I tasted one of the pills. It was minty—just like a peppermint. Who knew something so simple could spark such a turnaround?

What I thought was a failed investment turned out to be the best bull I’ve ever owned. Now I just need stronger fences—and maybe a few more mints.
