I went out of my way to book a premium aisle seat with extra legroom for a long flight. As I settled in, a stylish but entitled

woman and her smug partner approached and demanded I switch seats. She claimed she’d “accidentally” booked

a different seat and refused to sit away from her “husband.”Her assigned seat? A middle one in row 12—not even close.

When I hesitated, she sneered, “You don’t need all that space,” while her partner added, “Be reasonable.”Not wanting a scene,

I gave in and handed them my seat. But what they didn’t know was—I wasn’t done yet.A flight attendant who’d seen

it all quietly informed me that both were actually assigned to row 12. I smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this.”

Later, I spoke to the chief purser, explained the scam, and was offered two options: reclaim my seat or take compensation.

I chose the miles—enough for upgrades on my next three flights. They even upgraded my next flight to first class.

As we descended, the couple’s luck ran out. The purser confronted them, revealing their lie and noting their real seat assignments.

She added that impersonating a married couple was also noted and they’d be placed on the airline’s no-fly list.

In a last-ditch defense, the woman blurted, “He’s divorcing his wife for me!” exposing their affair to the entire cabin.

They were escorted off by security. Meanwhile, I left the plane smiling, having lost a seat but gained sweet revenge and a lot of airline miles.
