Florida Hairstylist Fatally Stabbed in Parking Garage—Suspect Confesses Hailey Hosford, a 27-year-old hairstylist

and yoga retreat teacher, was brutally stabbed in a parking garage in Sunrise, Florida, just moments before

heading home. The attack happened around 1:30 a.m. on May 28 at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village.

Surveillance footage showed suspect Jackson Julian Sagesse Jr., 21, approaching Hosford’s parked Mercedes.

As she tried to re-enter the car, he forced the door open and stabbed her multiple times. A male friend

returned during the assault and was stabbed in the throat while trying to intervene but survived and alerted police.

Hosford was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at 2:01 a.m. Police arrested Sagesse at his nearby apartment.

Two steak knives—one in his pocket and one in the car—matched his kitchen set. He later confessed, saying chillingly,

“I just killed someone and walked away.” Loved ones described Hailey as vibrant and full of life. “There’s evil, and

there’s good—we lost the good,” said close friend Aubrey Rosebrock. A GoFundMe in her honor has raised over $14,500 for funeral costs.
