Trump Issues New Travel Ban, Warns Egypt May Be Next – Former President Donald Trump has enacted a sweeping travel ban affecting

citizens from 19 countries, citing national security concerns and poor vetting practices. The order, effective June 9, blocks or

restricts immigration and some non-immigrant visas for countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, and others.

Trump hinted Egypt may soon be added to the list after an Egyptian national allegedly attacked pro-Israel protesters in Colorado.

“We don’t want ’em,” Trump stated, directing officials to review Egypt’s vetting systems.

Countries were selected due to inadequate identity verification, high visa overstay rates, or refusal to cooperate on deportations.

Trump emphasized this move builds on his 2017 travel ban, which the Supreme Court upheld but was later rescinded by President Biden.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with officials like Pam Bondi and Tulsi Gabbard, contributed to the decision.

Some exceptions will apply for athletes and essential personnel involved in global events like the Olympics.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson defended the action as “commonsense restrictions” designed to protect Americans.
