Tragedy in Maine: Twin Toddlers Killed in Hit-and-Run

A peaceful evening walk turned tragic on July 11, 2025, when Mollie Egold and her twin sons, Bradley and Noah,

were struck by a vehicle on Hussey Road in Albion, Maine. Police say the driver, 44-year-old Benjamin Lancaster,

fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with manslaughter and aggravated OUI.

Bradley died at the scene. Noah, critically injured, was flown to Maine Medical Center but later declared brain dead.

He was taken off life support days later. Mollie remains in the ICU, recovering from multiple surgeries.

The accident shocked the tight-knit community. Locals described the road as open and visible and are now

rallying behind Mollie with prayers, donations, and a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral and medical expenses.

This marks a second heartbreaking loss for Mollie, who also lost a son in 2017. Friends and coworkers

at her new job remember her as a dedicated mother, now facing unimaginable grief.

A church-led fundraiser is being organized, and police are urging anyone with footage or information to come forward as the investigation continues.

The tragedy has sparked calls for improved road safety and renewed awareness of the impact of impaired driving.
