Ozzy Osbourne Dies at 76 After Final Hometown Tribute
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76, surrounded by family, following years of health struggles, including Parkinson’s
disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2019. Although the exact cause of death has not been confirmed, his health had recently declined.
Shortly before his death, Ozzy’s wife Sharon fulfilled his final wish by bringing him back to his hometown of Aston, UK, for a special event:
the “Back to the Beginning” benefit concert. The show featured performances by Black Sabbath, Metallica,
Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, and Anthrax, raising $189 million for charity. It was a powerful tribute to Ozzy’s musical legacy and roots.
Sharon called it “a celebration of the music,” with Ozzy emotionally thanking fans, saying, “You have no idea how I feel
– thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Ozzy is survived by Sharon, their children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, as well as Jessica and Louis from a previous marriage, and
several grandchildren. Tributes poured in worldwide, including from his childhood soccer team, Aston Villa, which honored him as a beloved local legend.
Ozzy’s family asks for privacy during this time of mourning.
