Donald Trump, 79, recently completed a full medical evaluation that deemed him in “excellent health” and fit to serve,
according to his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella. Released in April 2025, the report followed his annual physical.
Since 2020, Trump has lost 20–30 pounds, now weighing 224 pounds, with normal blood pressure, heart rate,
and lab results. He scored a perfect 30/30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a dementia screening tool.
Minor conditions include chronic venous insufficiency, diverticulosis found in a 2024 colonoscopy, and past
cataract surgery. His vaccinations are current, and he takes aspirin and cholesterol-lowering medication.
Bruising on his hands was attributed to aspirin use and frequent handshakes.
Trump promotes his health, reviving a version of the Presidential Fitness Test and following a low-carb diet with regular golfing.
However, public concern over his cognitive health has grown after appearances showing confused speech,
topic derailments, and forgetfulness. One incident where he failed to recognize people
behind him, including cabinet members, fueled speculation.
No medical professional has diagnosed him with dementia, and his campaign continues portraying
him as healthy, energetic, and capable of returning to office.
