The FBI has arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk

at Utah Valley University on September 10. Investigators allege Robinson acted alone, firing a single bullet from a nearby rooftop.

Robinson’s grandmother, Debbie Robinson, strongly disputes the claims, insisting authorities have “the wrong man.”

She described her grandson as quiet, shy, and hardworking, with no history of handling firearms or interest in politics.

“He’s a wonderful child… There’s absolutely no way he could have done that,” she told the Daily Mail.

She noted that most of their family are Republicans and that Tyler’s father is a committed Trump supporter.

Robinson was taken into custody on September 11 at his Washington, Utah, home following a tip from a family member.

Federal agents are reviewing digital messages, surveillance footage, and other forensic evidence.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox stated that Robinson had recently become more politically active, though investigators have not confirmed a motive.
